Event Description

Women’s Wellness
Presented by Stephanie Gularte
Building on our foundational mind/body discussion, this session dives deeper into the psychological drivers that keep us in a state of chronic “fight or flight.” We explore the mental narratives like the need for perfectionism or the fear of being “too much” that impact our nervous system’s health. From here, we’ll explore the Polyvagal Theory to understand how the nervous system subconsciously scans for safety or threat. Finally, we’ll practice using this theory to adopt techniques that shift your internal state, moving from fight or flight to the calm, connected state required for high-level performance and engagement.
In this session you will:
* Map Your State: Use Polyvagal Theory to identify your personal “stress signature” and recognize exactly when your nervous system begins to compromise your focus.
* Examine the Psychology of Suppression: Explore the mental and emotional patterns that cause us to chronically suppress outrage, hurt, or fear, and how that suppression creates physical tension.
* Master Co-Regulation: Understand how your nervous system state impacts those around you and learn to project a presence of safety that fosters collective high performance.
* Deploy the Discreet Reset: Gain a toolkit of three subtle techniques to regulate your nervous system in the middle of a high-stakes setting.
