Strategic Business Partner Spotlight: Arkadios Capital

Arkadios Capital

The Women’s Alliance of Financial Advisors is proud to celebrate its second year of partnership with Arkadios Capital, a Strategic Business Partner committed to helping female financial advisors grow, lead, and build successful advising practices. At the heart of this partnership is a shared belief that the future of the financial advising industry depends on creating opportunities for talented professionals to thrive, including the next generation of women leaders. To mark this milestone, we connected with Nate Stibbs, Director of Corporate Strategy at Arkadios Capital, to discuss the company’s mission and partnership with the Women’s Alliance.

To start, can you tell us about the mission of Arkadios Capital?

At its core, Arkadios Capital was built around a simple idea: great advisors should have the freedom to run their businesses independently, but they shouldn’t have to do it alone.

We are an advisor-founded, privately held independent wealth management platform focused on helping financial advisors build, grow, and protect their businesses. We provide innovative resources advisors need across technology, investment management, operations, compliance, transition support, practice management, and business development.

I think what differentiates Arkadios is that we don’t view ourselves simply as a service provider. We view ourselves as a partner in the advisor’s business. Our goal is to give advisors the resources, scale, and support of a much larger organization while preserving the independence, flexibility, and entrepreneurial spirit that attracted them to independence in the first place.

How does Arkadios’ technology, resources, and support help women in the financial advising industry grow and succeed in their careers?

Technology and resources are important, but ultimately, they are about creating capacity and opportunity for advisors.  In our mind, technology is no longer the differentiator, it’s how quickly advisors use it.

For women building careers and businesses in financial advising, that can be particularly powerful. Our technology ecosystem, powered by Black Diamond, is designed to reduce the amount of time advisors have to spend on administrative and operational tasks so they can spend more time with clients, developing relationships, prospecting, and growing their businesses.

But the support goes well beyond technology. We provide access to investment management, practice management, marketing, compliance, transition resources, and a broader community of advisors and professionals.

And I think community is especially important. You don’t have to figure everything out yourself. Having access to people who have built successful businesses, faced similar challenges, and are willing to share their experiences can accelerate someone’s development tremendously.

As we celebrate our second year of partnership, what made partnering with the Women’s Alliance a meaningful opportunity for Arkadios?

The partnership is meaningful because the mission of the Women’s Alliance aligns very closely with what we believe at Arkadios: the future of our industry depends on attracting, developing, and retaining great talent.

We also believe that advancing women in our industry can’t simply be a conversation about recruiting more women. It has to be about creating an environment where women can build meaningful, successful, and sustainable careers.

The Women’s Alliance creates something incredibly valuable—a community where women can connect, learn from one another, build relationships, and support each other.

For Arkadios, being part of that conversation is important. We don’t want to simply say that we’re supportive of women in the industry. We want to be an active participant in helping create more opportunities for them.

After two years, what makes me most excited is that this has become a relationship, not simply a sponsorship.

Why do you believe it’s important for organizations across the industry to invest in advancing women in financial advising?

Because it is both the right thing to do and good business.

Our industry is going through an enormous demographic shift. We have an aging advisor population, a significant wave of succession ahead of us, and increasing demand for financial advice.

We simply cannot afford to overlook half of the available talent in our industry. But I also think it goes beyond demographics. The best wealth management businesses are built around relationships, trust, communication, and understanding what matters most to clients. A more diverse advisor population gives us the opportunity to better reflect the clients and families we serve.

Investing in women also creates a multiplier effect. When women have opportunities to become leaders, business owners, mentors, and partners, they create opportunities for the next generation.

If we want a stronger industry 10 or 20 years from now, we have to invest in the people who are going to lead it.

What trends are you seeing for women in the financial advisory profession, and how is Arkadios helping advisors prepare for their future?

I think we’re seeing a very positive shift. Women are increasingly moving beyond being participants in the industry and becoming owners, entrepreneurs, leaders, and succession partners.

At the same time, the profession itself is changing rapidly. Consolidation is accelerating. Technology and AI are transforming how businesses operate. Client expectations are evolving. And we’re entering one of the largest intergenerational wealth transfers in our country’s history.

That creates tremendous opportunity—but it also creates urgency.

At Arkadios, we’re focused on helping advisors prepare for that future by giving them the ability to grow and scale without sacrificing independence.

That means better technology, stronger operational infrastructure, access to investment resources, business development support, succession planning, recruiting resources, and a team that can help advisors navigate change.

Ultimately, we want advisors to spend less time worrying about the infrastructure of their business and more time thinking about where they want to take their business next.

At the Women’s Alliance, we believe that financial advising is an incredibly fulfilling path for women seeking purpose, flexibility, and success. We are passionate about creating firm-neutral connections where women lift one another up.
