#1 Briefly tell us about your business.
I’m a Financial Planner at Leeward Wealth Management, a women-led firm based in the Florida Keys and Colorado, serving clients across the U.S. My focus is on building meaningful relationships and empowering women and the next generation through education-focused, proactive financial planning. I’m passionate about making financial conversations accessible, collaborative, and curiosity-driven.
#2 What is the most rewarding part of being a financial advisor?
This is my first year as a financial advisor and the most rewarding part has been creating genuine relationships and helping people gain clarity and confidence in their financial lives.
#3 What is the most challenging part?
Imposter syndrome! Learning to trust myself and my value has been a big personal growth area.
#4 Knowing what you know now, what piece of career advice you’d give your younger self?
Don’t wait to feel “ready.” Start where you are, keep asking questions, and know that curiosity and compassion will take you further than perfection ever will.
#5. What is one idea to further move the needle in attracting, retaining and/or advancing more women in financial advising?
Create more mentorship opportunities and highlight diverse paths into the profession, showing women that there’s more than one way to succeed and that their unique perspectives are powerful assets, not obstacles.
#6. What’s one of your superpowers that has nothing to do with wealth management?
Empathy. I have a natural ability to make others feel seen, heard, and supported.
#7 What’s one of your non-negotiable self-care practices?
Yoga – lots of it! I completed yoga teacher training and it’s become a cornerstone of my routine. It helps me stay clear-minded and balanced, especially during busy seasons.
#8 Who is a woman who has had an important impact on your life or career?
Leslie Valant, a longtime family friend who is now also my colleague at Leeward Wealth Management. She’s been a constant source of encouragement and has always believed in my ability to make a difference in people’s lives.
