Quick 10!

#1  Tell us a bit about your business.
I am the Head of Advisor Success & Integration at Perigon Wealth Management. Through my experience, I have carved a niche for myself as someone who drives organic growth and operational excellence for RIA firms. I work out of Park City, Utah, where I recently moved.

#2  What is the most rewarding part of being a financial advisor?
Being a financial advisor isn’t just about investments or planning; it’s about people, growth, and purpose. When you mentor women, support peers, and remain a lifelong learner, your impact is two-fold: you elevate others and yourself. It becomes less about individual transactions and more about shaping careers, changing dynamics, and growing together in a field where you will forever learn and never stop growing.

#3  What is the most challenging part?
The biggest challenge is that there is not enough time in a day. Figuring out how to prioritize and get to the important things you need/ want to do is paramount in this industry.

#4   Knowing what you know now, what career advice would you give your younger self?
One piece of career advice I’d give my younger self is: don’t stress so much, enjoy the ride and trust that things will work out. And while anyone can be a mentor, what’s truly transformational is earning a sponsor, someone who actively advocates for you behind the scenes. If you don’t have a sponsor, your career may be more limited at a company. You may never know who your sponsor is, but if your career is stagnant, it is best to move on.

#5.  What is one idea to further move the needle in attracting, retaining and advancing more women in financial advising?
This business has less to do with math and more to do with relationship building and helping people. Most of what I do is not math centered; my day consists of personal engagement with advisors and clients. I think if more people knew this, the industry would become more accessible to a greater number of women.

#6.  What is one of your superpowers that has nothing to do with wealth management?
I always know exactly how long food needs to defrost in the microwave.

 #7  What’s one of your non-negotiable self-care practices?
To get at least seven or eight hours of sleep a night. I don’t always achieve this, but sleep is so important.

#8  Who is a woman who has had an important impact on your life or career?
My mother, Sheila, I think about her career as a teacher and how many lives she touched and helped shape. She didn’t know until years later when students would approach her and thank her for the impact she had on them. I hope that like my mother, I too, have made a positive impact, in some small way, on those with whom I have worked with over the years.

#9  What are three of your all-time favorite books?
1 – Dr. Seuss ‘Oh The Places You’ll Go’
2 – Stephen Kovey ‘The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People’
3 – Kristen Hannah ‘The Women’

#10  If your life were a movie, what would the title be?
‘A Life Measured in More Than Money’
